Still Interested?
Matthew Brown | Wednesday 23rd November 2005
Don't worry, I'm not back people. I'm just dropping a quick note to you all that a young man by the name of Brian Connolly is taking on my mantle (well, almost - he isn't getting paid for it at the moment ;) ) as Enterprise fan and leader of men!

He and a few others are making great strides in developing some enterprise activities at GCU and representing us elsewhere. If you are interested drop him a line at enterprisecomesfrom@googlemail.com.

(Please note you can't use this website to contact him as he doesn't have access to this system)

Anyway, once more farewell and good luck everyone.

Cancellation of Event
Metaphysical Entity (aka ME) | Tuesday 18th October 2005
The event to be held on the 27th of this month has now been postponed until further notice. More soon.

Updates
Matthew Brown | Thursday 13th October 2005
Another year, another series of Enterprise Events looms large on the horizon.

First of all, we have an event at the end of this month on Thursday the 27th to be precise. It will be held in a team-room of the Sports Cafe, from 8pm-10pm. Tell your friends, tell your neighbours, tell your talking parrot!

Next up it's high time we established the Enterprise Society, and we need 10 names to do it. The society will be recieve funding like any other, and we will be able to hold events, trips, hire speakers, etc. More importantly it gives us a chance to meet each other on a regular basis and exchange ideas. Please send me an e-mail to confirm your interest.

Finally, apologies to anyone who has been lost in the chaos of the past month. Those of you who are applying for the intern position will be happy to know I'm handling most of the insane stuff right now so you won't have to. As a result, I've forgot to reply to a few people and for that I beg humble forgiveness!

Fresher Recruitment
Matthew Brown | Monday 26th September 2005
From 9am(roughly) to 3pm today (with a half hour break for lunch at 12!) I shall be in the Learning Cafe with info packs, frisbees and a smile on my face for anyone who wants to learn more about SIE/Student Enterprise and our soon-to-start society. Please pop along! :)

SIE Interns @ GCU - Phase 2!
Matthew Brown | Tuesday 13th September 2005
As some of you may or may not know, my role as SIE Intern @ GCU ends at the start of November. As a result, we want new interns (hopefully 2) for the 2005/2006 academic year. While exact interview dates and departments are to be confirmed, you should all start applying now! To show your interest, simply go to the contact page and send us your details including the fact that you are interested in the Intern role.

Alternatively click on my username above and e-mail me directly.

The position is appoximately 15 hours per week, per intern, although this is negotiable and pay is well above average student wages.

Thanks all.

Caledonian Enterprise.co.uk Launches
Matthew Brown | Monday 12th September 2005
Today marks the launch of the final version of CaledonianEnterprise.co.uk. Over the last three months I have been developing a fully fledged Content Management System for myself and future SIE Interns to use.

A huge thank-you goes to everyone who was patient enough to wait on this being debugged and released. It's not been easy, but it's been a learning experience.

Coming up this month we'll be having a freshers fair stand, a networking event with industry speakers, and the startup of our Enterprise Society.

A monthly e-newsletter will shortly begin publication to inform students of enterprise events at GCU - so sign up now on the contacts page!
